"If people prefer 19 than 18 then they need to have a chance to choose between"
why? why is it relevent to know whether they like 19 more than 18? your poll would make sense only if people would have given the option to vote for more things for example 5 pts for the best hour, 3 pts for second best and 1 pts for the third best but this is not the case here. here the only effect we get is that 19 "sucks" all vote for itself.
"Using your poll argumentation asking "Do you like cats?" someone must answer "yes", even if he wanted to choose "yes, with spices". But what to choose if someone does not drive a cat... erm, Volkswagen?"
this isn't true. i proposed a very precise quiz: "do you want to play the quiz at 18.00?" (it is anagolous to asking "do you like cat with spices?"). and it is also my poll gives them the option to vote against the "Volkswagen" while yours that doesn't!
my poll would ask: would you like to play the quiz at 18.00?
your poll asks at which hour would you prefer to play 18.00, 19.00, 20.00, 21.00
now lets that for whatever reason you are against playing at 18.00, in my poll you just pick the option "NO". now how do you vote against 18.00 in your poll?
"He picks, but only from 19-21 range (to tell the truth only 19 and 20 is available due to the time span of quiz), so far. He can't choose 14 or 23."
obviously. if you read my post again you'll see i said that the rules allow to run the quiz at either 19, 20 or 21 so thats the time-frame i had it mind.
